JoSH AGle, painter laureate of Palm Springs, now has a retail store at 725 North Palm Canyon, next to the Trio restaurant. Jay Nailor of M Modern Gallery, launching a soft opening from midFebruary 2010, thinks that the solo SHAG operation will be a shoo-in for walk-ins.

The main gallery, much further north (Palm Canyon at Racquet Club), is generally reached by motorized transportation. Nailor will continue to stage multiartist shows there, of course. Check out Gordon Parr’s photos from a recent reception.
