Blue Point Siamese Joins Pink Poodle At New Animal Shelter.

Palm Springs . . . recently added 'Mademoiselle Coco', the 8’-4” tall sculpture of a Blue Point Siamese kitty cat to its Art-in-Public Places collection for placement in front of the City’s new architecturally show-stopping modernist . . . no-kill animal shelter by Architect George Thomas Miers.”

“The giant kitty cat joins ‘Monsieur Pompadour’, the 7’-3” pink poodle. Both sculptures are the creation of . . . renowned wife & husband artist couple Karen & Tony Barone . . . the purchase/acquisition by the City of Palm Springs under its Art in Public Places Program, followed the unanimous recommendation of the Palm Springs Public Arts Commission.”
